Although the majority of patients that visit our Medical Institute are seeking to correct frontal hair loss or receding hair loss,
another large group of patients are seeking to correct a bald spot on the back of their head or crown region.
According
to Mr. Siegel, (Director of Medical Procedures and Surgical Operations), most patients seeking crown hair transplants require
300 to 800 larger follicular units to achieve density and coverage.
"The follicular units are implanted at an angle that
imitates Mother Nature”, Mr. Siegel said. "The new follicular units are implanted at a neutral angle or with a slight angle going
the way the patients want to grow their hair. “We're not changing Mother Nature's angle at all”.
The position and angle
at which the hair grafts are implanted allow the patient to comb their hair in the back in any manner in which they prefer.
